ALBERTA "OPEN FOR SUMMER"
UPDATE ~ EFFECTIVE JULY 2021
PERSONAL & WELLNESS SERVICES
As Alberta moved into STAGE 3 of the provincial "Open for Summer" plan,
nearly all restrictions are now lifted throughout the province. With the most recent announcement, the remaining restrictions including mandatory requirements to isolate as a positive case or confirmed close contact of COVID-19 will no longer be required. Although we respect and understand that there will always be a strong divide when it comes to public opinion on matters relating to COVID-19, we also hope that our decision to continue upholding certain COVID-19 protocols are met with the same respect. As these decisions directly affect the safety and wellbeing of our guests, staff, future guests, and community, we felt it necessary to keep certain safety measures in place to ensure we continue providing the safest practice environment possible.
Regardless of any further provincial lifting of restrictions in place, we remain committed to providing our guests with the safest practice environment possible, and will continue taking every precaution, and remain to implement any safety measures necessary to protect you, our team, future guests, and community. Therefore, even after changes take place with Phase 1 and Phase 2 of Alberta's COVID-19 Testing Program, ALL SPA GUESTS will still be required to fill out a COVID-19 Liability Release Waiver and attest to their current state of health (up to and including the date of any services booked) regarding symptoms and close contacts of probable and/or confirmed cases of COVID-19.
Given the nature of our business and the close (skin-to-skin) contact required, there is a much higher level of risk to our staff, in particular for those therapists who perform your services. We ask that our guests respect our decision to maintain certain COVID-19 protocols including the decision of our service providers to continue wearing the appropriate levels of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) suitable to ensure their safety and level of comfort as COVID-19 and VOCs remain an active threat to public health. As we try and adapt to the constantly evolving
Due to the close contact (skin-to-skin) nature of our business, we will be unable to provide services under the following circumstances:
The team at Bodhi Tree Spa have collectively agreed to continue on with some of our safety protocols so that we may continue hat directly affect the safety and wellbeing of our guests, staff, hotel guests, and community are also taken into the same consideration as we try and move forward with a plan that we believe is the most responsible way we can continue providing the safest practive environment to youythrough these next steps. minimumwe also hope that our decisions to continue upholding our own health and safety protocols are me with the same respect. The safety of mattershat directly affect navigating through a global pandemic e understand that there will always be a divide wit plan announced to have the remaining restrictions and mandatory requirements lifted by Even though restrictions have been lifted provincially, please be mindful that some municipalities have opted to keep some restrictions in place.
In particular the mandatory mask bylaw remains in place for the
Town of Canmore, until further notice.

With virtually all restrictions being lifted, it is now apparent there is a major divide within our province regarding the decision to move so quickly into reopening of essentially all businesses with no limits that the province is divided on the decision to move ahead with restrictions being to reopening all businesses. As with any drastic changes, especially when they affect an entire province, it is almost certain there will be a divided public opinion. within the public

Canmore Municipal Mask Bylaw Remains In Effect
Please be mindful, even after the provincial mask mandate is lifted on July 1st, 2021.
A mandatory mask bylaw remains in effect until at least July 6th, 2021 for the town of Canmore, AB.
At which time any decisions on keeping or rescinding this bylaw will be made. Until otherwise directed by town officials, we are required to continue adhering to this bylaw which mandates all persons to wear a face mask in all indoor public premises, and outdoor crowded line-ups. This includes a face mask that covers the nose, mouth, and chin, even while receiving spa treatments, (with the exception of any services that require the removal of a face covering, as necessary to receive the treatment).
We kindly ask that you respect our efforts in continuing to provide the safest practice environment to our guests. As virtually all restrictions are lifted within Alberta, we will continue to modify and adapt our protocols as we see fit. With such drastic changes from extensive restrictions to virtually none, many are divided on this topic of the provincial "Open for Summer" plan.
As the province moves ahead with drastic changes into the final phase of the reopening planWe kindly ask for your understanding as this is a mandatory bylaw and completely out of our control.
Regardless of your vaccination status, a mask will be required to receive a spa treatment.
